Simmons Residents Have Fun with Bad Situation

By now you’ve probably all heard about the creeper in Simmons Hall. But what you may not have heard is the students’ reactions to the recent crimes…besides the obvious, of course.

Wanted signs are displayed next to nearly every elevator, bathroom, and door, and students have taken to some witty vandalism with them. There are some flyers featuring the classic unibrow-and-mustache doodle, but my fave, by far, is the one by the first floor elevator, where a collaborative, anonymous effort has yielded multiple quotes from Antoine Dodson’s infamous police report.

None of this is to say that the residents aren’t taking the events seriously. In fact, there seems to be a stronger sense of community within the building since the attacks, which have stopped even though the pervert remains at large.

Kiwi Fro-Yo Comes to Penn State

The Kiwi Yogurt chain is opening its newest store right here in State College, next to the Student Book Store at 324 E. College Ave, this February (no word yet on exact date). Kiwi is a Maine Line, Pa.-based, family-owned company founded in 2008 set on providing “the ultimate dessert experience.”

And it is quite the experience. When you walk in, there is – prepare yourselves – a wall of frozen yogurt options. You get to walk up to this beautiful wall and vend yourself as many flavors as you like.
