College GameDay to Air From Columbus

For the second time this season, Penn State will be one of the featured teams on ESPN’s College Gameday when the program airs live from Columbus, Ohio this coming Saturday. The program will air from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on ESPNU and from 10:00 a.m. to noon on ESPN. The Nittany Lions will take on Buckeyes of Ohio State in the Horseshoe at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

College Gameday has made it almost a yearly occurrence to cover the Penn State-Ohio State matchup. They broadcasted from Happy Valley in 2005 and 2007 and from Ohio State in 2006 and 2008. Penn State is 2-2 in those games with victories coming in 2005 (a 17-10 win in which the first ever legitimate Beaver Stadium White-Out watched Tamba Hali and company bring the Nits back to national prominence) and in 2008 (better known for Terrelle Pryor flooding out Ohio Stadium with his tears).

Penn State is riding into Columbus with a three-game winning streak in tow along with a new swagger which has almost everything to do with quarterback Matt McGloin (watch out Herbie). He has energized an offense that was floundering all season and has given this team the confidence to upset a national power like the Buckeyes. Hopefully Lee Corso has taken notice and it will factor into his decision when he puts on his headgear this coming Saturday.
