Penn State’s Hair to the Throne: No Shave November Contest

Onward State and The LION 90.7fm are teaming up to celebrate this year's No Shave November with class. Put away your razors and dust off your brushes because we're looking for the best facial hair at Penn State.

CCSG Council This Weekend

It's that time of the month! The student government representatives from Penn State's 19 Commonwealth campuses will meet here for the second Council of Commonwealth Student Governments Council Weekend of the year. Council will take place in two sessions: the first, an informal one tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. in Heritage Hall (Graham Spanier will speak) and the long, formal one tomorrow from 9 a.m. to about 6 p.m., at the same place.

Penn State Men’s Basketball Preview

Needless to say, basketball takes a back seat to JoePa and the guys here at Penn State. One can't say this isn't without reason, as success has been hard to come by with the exception of an NIT championship two years ago. But with the 2010-2011 season getting started with tonight's tip against Lehigh, a couple of Onward State writers give their opinions on the upcoming season.

Penn State Walks For a Better Haiti

In the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes that struck Haiti, Penn Staters are taking action.

Club Kreyol is sponsoring "A Walk For A Better Haiti" today that starts at East Halls and continues across campus to Old Main. The walk will be a way for those in attendance to voice concerns for a country in ruins.

Operating Hours Shift During Thanksgiving Break

Operating hours will change throughout campus for Thanksgiving break.

Residence halls will close Saturday Nov. 20 at noon and will reopen Saturday Nov. 27 at 8 a.m. so that students may get settled in time for the game against MSU.
