Penn State's student blog
If you were flipping through channels like I was on Saturday, you might have caught something that threw you off: A Penn State mention during a football game....the Big 12 Championship game, that is.
This past Saturday, Penn State architecture student George Hayward was on the field at halftime as part of a competition sponsored by Dr. Pepper, where he had to throw 10 footballs into a target to try to win $123,000 in scholarship money.
His competition made nine...he made all ten.
Wednesday night's meeting of the University Park Undergraduate Association lasted two-and-a-half hours with an agenda filled to the brim. The main event of the evening, however, was the lively, sustained discussion on whether or not to remove Facilities Chair Haley McClernon from the Assembly.
As Chair of the Assembly, Jessica Peliciotta brought forth the removal proceedings because of McClernon's violations of the UPUA's attendance policy. McClernon gave a statement before the Assembly explaining her absences, citing mainly the Steering Committee's difficult meeting time: Sunday at 2 p.m., and that the new time for next semester would work much more smoothly.

According to BlueWhiteIllustrated.com, sources say that Kevin Newsome intends to seek a transfer from Penn State.
With the conclusion of the 2009 season and Darryl Clark's graduation, Newsome was expected to start the 2010 season under center. His mobility and knowledge of the Spread HD system has supposed to give him an edge over fellow carry-over Matt McGloin.
Take a walk around campus and you'll see a coffeehouse in almost every building. Perfect for coffee lovers, but what is there for the average tea drinker?
Wonder no longer. A new on-campus tea house opened in mid-November in 34 Ritenour and is open from 12:15 to 2:30 p.m on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The organization is run by sophomore Jason Cohen and members of the Gongfu Cha (Chinese Tea Ceremony) club.
