Penn State THON 2011 Dancer List
THON is coming up quickly and campus is buzzing with preparations for next weekend’s 46-hour dance marathon… I can’t wait. For people like us– snarkers and bloggers and, oh yeah, journalists too– THON is the year’s most fun endurance event. This will be Onward State’s third year covering THON and we’re pumped. One of the thing’s that’s gotten better about THON for us over time is that now we actually know people who are dancing! That’s why I was excited to see THON release this year’s dancer list. To paraphrase Mark Twain: The reports of higher education’s death have been an exaggeration. American universities produce more research and relevant knowledge for the world at large than any other institutions I know of. Tuition may be too damn high, but over the long-run, undergraduate degrees are definitely worth the cost. But Penn State could be so much more. It used to be, I think.
