Movin’ On Headlining Acts Revealed

The headlining acts for Movin' On 2011, Penn State's Spring Music Festival, were announced this morning on B94.5 FM. According to the festival's website, Movin' On has been a Penn State tradition since 1974 and has provided acts such as Wilco, Fall Out Boy, Run DMC, Talib Kweli, and Ben Folds Five. Check inside to see if your favorite artist made the cut.

New Bottle Shop Caters to Beer Enthusiasts

I'll admit it. I like beer, a lot. But none of that yellow fizzy crap that seems to be pervasive throughout the college drinking scene. I'm what many would consider a craft beer enthusiast, and while the amount of time that I've been enjoying "good" beer is rather limited, I've come to discover the wonders that can be found in a quality IPA or Outmeal Stout. Thanks to establishments such as Zeno's or the Z-Bar, I've been able to expand my knowledge about craft beer further than I could have imagined before turning 21. But State College is sadly devoid of a location where I could purchase quality beer for home consumption, or should I say was.

Commissioner Confirms: Election Hearings Public

UPUA Elections Commissioner Dustin Dove confirmed that the Board of Arbitration hearings regarding the candidacies of the Adewumi-Prisupati and Grimes-Wentz tickets will be public, contrary to the wishes of Adewumi. A date hasn't been set yet, but all parties are apparently trying to get something scheduled for as early in the week as possible-- campaign starts tomorrow morning at 7:00 am.

Icers End Season With Disappointment

The Penn State Icers’ trip to Delaware last weekend for the ACHA National Tournament went much as the rest of their season did. Penn State lost to a higher-ranked team in the first round before beating a lower-ranked team in the consolation round. The first-round loss came as a surprise in a season filled with excitement and high expectations.
