Penn State Men’s Volleyball Claims EIVA Crown

The Penn State men’s volleyball team won their 13th-consecutive EIVA regular season title and 27th overall with a sweep of George Mason last Saturday. The Nittany Lions also earned hosting rights to the EIVA Semifinals and Championship, which will take place on April 28 and April 30, respectively.

Walkout Rally Draws Bigger Crowd, Misses Mark

Yesterday, Penn State saw another rally about Governor Corbett's proposed budget cuts and high tuition. The Walkout for Penn State drew a bigger crowd than the previous two on campus, this time filling the terrace in front of Old Main rather than just the steps.

These rallies started a couple of months ago, you know.

Actually, judging by the reported attendance at the April 4 demonstration --well into the hundreds--compared with the smattering who came out for those marches, you probably didn't know. But back in February, coming right on the heels of THON, Travis Salters tried to kick things off.

Last year, I began exploring outside of the State College area and was amazed at how much there was to do. A Not so Happy Valley

A beautiful chord had struck, one that human ears fail to acknowledge, but the heart welcomes with open arms. A room full of silence and heavy hearts was accompanied by 1,100 memories represented by the delicate placement of an equal number of backpacks. The quiet was broken by soft voices who brought comforting words and the desire to send silence packing.
