THON Child Alexia Barnett Passes Away

It is with a heavy heart that I write of the death of Alexia Barnett, one of Penn State’s beloved THON children, at age six. Many of you just recently took part in the “Love for Lexi: Meet Taylor Swift” campaign, which allowed Lexi’s dream to meet her favorite pop star come true. Lexi passed away last Saturday at home, in the company of her family.

Anyone would like to send flowers to her family or make any memorial contributions to the Love For Lexi Fund can find more information, as well as read her obituary, here.

Hailing from Lebanon, PA, I am a senior majoring in print journalism. Things I enjoy include lovesacs, denim, mullets, Fight Milk, Jonny Moseley, and "hang in there" kitten posters. Things that bother me include "fun" sized candy bars (not fun), fish, shoobies, wet door knobs, baby leashes, and Jake Lloyd.

Little did I know that I was about to walk into the greatest store ever.
