Pot, Tyson, and Casey Anthony: Jeselnik Shares Jokes Cut from the Sheen Roast

Last night, in a packed Heritage Hall that was probably breaking fire laws, Anthony Jeselnik gave one of his trademark unadulterated performances that included a few jokes that were cut from Comedy Central's Roast of Charlie Sheen.

His no-holds-barred style of comedy makes Jeselnik unique among comedians, and that showed last night. It was a set full of some brutal humor and completely unafraid to offend, perhaps moreso than usual, since some of these were the jokes that didn't make the cut on the Roast. Find out just how wild Jeselnik got after the jump.

UPUA Votes to Oppose Voter ID Legislation

For the first time in weeks, the University Park Undergraduate Association actually dealt with a controversial issue. After tabling the issue two weeks ago, UPUA took on the voter identification bill currently awaiting the Pennsylvania State Senate, deliberating on whether they should publicly state opposition to the legislation. According to Governmental Affairs Chair Adam Boyer, if the bill were to be signed into law, all prospective voters would have to present a state-or-Federally issued form of photo identification. Out-of-state drivers licenses and Penn State ID cards, for instance, would not be enough.

(THON) Overall Life Lessons

Last week, I had the opportunity to sit down and speak with each of the THON Overalls. As the Onward State’s THON senior content producer, I figured it would be in my best interest to get to know each of them a little bit, as well as introduce them to myself.

THON is a year-long event, and sometimes we forget just how vital our battle is along the way. The passion surges back here and there, but it usually isn’t until THON weekend that we realize the lasting impact we make in the children’s, family’s, and each other’s lives. Listening to the Overalls, I have learned a few lessons that I believe will not only help make THON the best it can possibly be, but help bring a little more love into this world that so desperately needs it.
