Onward Debates: Should Penn State Consider the ACC?

With conference realignment continuing to change the landscape of collegiate athletics, two of Penn State's former Eastern rivals, Syracuse and Pittsburgh, decided to make a move to the Atlantic Coast Conference. Though Penn State appears to be firmly entrenched in the Big Ten, the question begs asking. Could the ACC be a better fit? Our writers debate.

What’s Next for Women’s Volleyball?

The Penn State Women's Volleyball team dropped its Big Ten opener last night at No. 10 Nebraska. Attempting to recover after digging an early 0-2 hole, the fifth ranked Nittany Lions fell just short of pulling off their second five set, comeback victory in a month.

Unlike the memorable USC match, played at Rec Hall on August 27, fifth set magic would elude the Nittany Lions as the Cornhuskers hung on for the win.

A ‘Sweeter’ Homecoming Show

Gavin DeGraw and David Cook are slated to perform at Rec Hall on October 9th to kick off both Homecoming festivities on campus and their national tour.

Yammer: The Useful Social Network

Yammer. Even though it launched in 2008, I had only heard of it this semester. And it is actually very interesting. I'm not tech savvy and unfortunately it doesn't come with instructions but professors on campus are trying to incorporate it into activity amongst themselves and their students.
