Student Musicians Get Folked Up

Dust off your finest flannel, because the Songwriter’s Club is hosting a yee-haw of a time this Saturday with a their first student-musician showcase of the year at Mudhouse (ΦΜΔ, 240 E. Prospect Ave).

The theme of the night is folk inspired which goes hand-in-hand with changing leaves and spiked apple cider. The Folk Festival Concert isn’t only a chance to hear some good old grass-roots tunes, the $5 donations for admission will be donated to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

The night’s four acts include Bobby Dougherty, Eric Faust and Mike D Mulligan, Free Rollercoaster and the lovely Sharleen Chidiac.

Guitars are strapped on at 7:30 p.m. and will continue until to play until 10:30. After the accordions are back in their cases, an old-fashioned rager will ensue.
