The Cake Might Be a Lie, But Onward State’s Costume Contest Isn’t

This past week, we asked to see your best Halloween costumes, and received a ton of (great) responses. As per usual, many costumes this year were based on recent movies, like Black Swan, and there was no shortage of zombies. But as in Highlander, there can be only one winner of our costume contest, so… (drumroll please):

Congratulations to Charlotte de Vries for her incredibly cool Chell (from the Portal videogame series) costume! Complete with a detailed, color-changing portal gun and testing jumpsuit, Charlotte took the cake (which is a lie) in our costume competition.
She will win a $50 gift card to Zola’s New World Bistro.

Here are some of the other great submissions we received. If you have a costume that you want to show off, leave a picture in the comments!
