#WEstillARE Event to Highlight Student Orgs

Various student organizations will be occupying the HUB tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as an opportunity to motivate students to look at the Penn State family in a positive light. The event is an extension of the #WEstillARE movement, which also has a website at WEstillARE.com. The #WEstillARE movement is a conversation in the community about the things that define Penn State… What aspects of our University can still inspire pride?

According to the Facebook event, members of any of the numerous clubs on this campus are encouraged to wear T-shirts of a group they represent and “to showcase their accomplishments and what they give back to our Penn State community.” There will be activity tables, performances, and speeches all over the ground floor of the HUB-Robeson Center.

Following the devastating chain of events that have occurred in Happy Valley over the past week, it is vital for the student body to preserve pride in all that makes up Penn State. From philanthropy to activism to media, these organizations show that involvement is a core focus of the Penn State student body. Come out to the HUB tomorrow and find out why #WEstillARE.
