Shameless Plug: Advertise with OS

Please excuse the interruption. We’ll get back to your regularly scheduled content in a moment.

Consider this a shameless plug, the equivalent of an NPR pledge drive but without Prairie Home Companion to entertain you. Instead, you’ve got this.

Earlier today we published a post about joining Onward State’s staff. To all Penn State students interested in digital media, I encourage you to do so. We would love to have you on-board. But I’m guessing that, at this point, lots of you aren’t students. Our audience has grown in many ways over the past three years, and we now reach more than 1,000,000 people annually through the Onward State website, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.

As our audience has grown, Onward State has too. More than 45 student-staff members are now a part of the organization, working together at weekly all-staff meetings and at literally all other times using our Yammer network. With our partner site StateCollege.com and publishing corporation Lazerpro Digital Media Group, Onward State is committed to providing the Penn State community with the most accurate and instantaneous information possible. We also want to continue experimenting with digital media and giving students great experiences with online publishing.

We could use your support. Plus, we’ve got some great things in store for you.

This is a shameless plug for local business owners and other stakeholders in the community to consider purchasing an ad package with Onward State for this semester. The prices are great for what you get, and your support will help us continue offering the great content that we have become so well known for.

Here are the high points of our Spring 2012 packages (January – April). Please contact us at [email protected] for more information!
