Today, during the hearing on bail conditions for Jerry Sandusky, Onward State staffers in Bellefonte used the hashtag #PSUcharges to classify their tweets of the coverage. #PSUcharges was the hashtag created by local media sources when the charges against Jerry Sandusky AND Tim Curley and Gary Schultz were made public on November 5th. Some who follow Onward State wanted a change in the hashtag to #Sandusky, presumably because of the prevailing thought that Jerry Sandusky "does not represent Penn State". The Penn State softball team will kick off its 2012 season down south as they compete in the Tiger Classic on the campus of Louisiana State University. They’ll face host team no. 22 LSU on Friday at 7 p.m. before facing Louisiana Tech on Saturday and Michigan on Sunday.
