Overheard On Twitter: Former Dukies Turned NBA Stars Support THON
This morning, former freshman sensation at Duke and now rising-star on the Cleveland Cavaliers Kyrie Irving showed THON some love with this tweet:
Help me beat childhood cancer by donating to @thon at thon.org! A great cause ran by Penn State students!
— Kyrie Irving (@KyrieIrving) February 12, 2012
After a bit, former teammate Nolan Smith, who is now an up-and-comer on the Portland Trailblazers, joined his buddy in sending his support For The Kids.
Lets all participate in beating childhood cancer by donating to @thon at thon.org.A great cause ran by Penn State students!
— Nolan D. Smith (@NdotSmitty) February 12, 2012
I’m sure as we get closer to THON weekend, we’ll see a lot more of these tweets popping up. While we still have to wait five days to dance, you can follow Kyrie and Nolan’s words now by donating at www.thon.org.
