Urban Outfitters Spring Breakdown

Rising star in the Penn State rap scene, Chewi, will be performing at the downtown Urban Outfitters at 8pm tonight as part of the hipster chain’s “Spring Break It, Don’t Fake It” extravaganza.

Besides having @Chewtunes spitting over a full band, @UrbanOutfitters is marking down their bo-swag for all us college kids looking for some new duds to rock over spring break. From 4-9 p.m., all full priced clothing will be marked down 10%. On top of that all sales merchandise will be slashed down by 29%. Sales require a valid Penn State student ID. (Sorry town folk, I’ll lend mine to anyone who can pull off the Ellen Degeneres/Macaulay Culkin look.)

Chewi has been recently making waves performing at local frats and in Amen Shekem Records “The Round Table” Hip Hop Showcase. His rap style ranges from poppy hip hop jams with catchy hooks to gritty street raps over dub step beats. Though his lyrics speak to the stoner culture with lines like “eyes so low I love the glow of my lighter,” Chewi’s unique flow offers a little something for everyone regardless of how blood-shot your eyes may be.

So come out to UO and grab a new swim suit for the beach or a new cardigan to give the illusion to your friends at home that you’re becoming more “scholarly.” A nice blazer may convince your parents that you’re doing more studying than partying and a trendy flannel may help you get with that hipster girl who you always wanted to get with since high school. And while you’re swiping that plastic, enjoy the rhythmic flow of Chewi.
