On February 28, American Idiot the Musical performed at Eisenhower Auditorium, bringing an edgy rock opera to Penn State.
Rising star in the Penn State rap scene, Chewi, will be performing at the downtown Urban Outfitters at 8pm tonight as part of the hipster chain’s “Spring Break It, Don’t Fake It” extravaganza. Spring break means something different to everyone. It could mean a plane trip to an exotic location or a car ride back home. It could mean a week of carefree drinking or cheap labor. Regardless, spring break is a much-needed hiatus from classes for all college students.
Penn State’s Student Programming Association recently announced that two acclaimed filmmakers will be venturing to speak at Penn State in March.
Morgan Spurlock, who directed and starred in the acclaimed documentary “Super Size Me,” will speak Monday, March 19 in Schwab Auditorium at 8 p.m. Additionally, John Fox, writer and director of Academy Award-nominated documentary GasLand will speak on March 14 at 8 p.m. in Alumni Hall at the HUB. Both events are free.
Current UPUA President T.J. Bard announced in an e-mail to the assembly Monday night that he would not be seeking re-election for a second term next year. Bard cited “personal issues” as the reason for this decision.
