WJAC-TV is reporting that former Penn State President Graham Spanier has filed a lawsuit against Penn State, a report that was also made by the Centre Daily Times.
The Second Mile charity founded by Jerry Sandusky, announced on Friday morning that it was going to shut down and transfer its assets to the Houston-based Arrow Child and Family Services ministries.
In the summer of 1992, Penn State needed cash and signed an exclusive 10-year $14 million deal with Pepsi. Since that time, Pepsi has been the exclusive provider of soft drinks on all of Penn State's campuses, including vending machines, dining halls, convenience stores, and advertising ventures. Although the contract hasn't been finalized yet, Penn State is working to secure another 10-year agreement with Pepsi to be ready by the new fiscal year which starts July 1.
After playing winning 22 of their last 30 games in the regular season, the Penn State baseball team was thought to be a serious contender to battle top-seeded Purdue for a Big Ten Tournament title. This wasn't the case as the 2012 season came to a disappointing end on Thursday as the Lions were throttled by Nebraska 12-3 in a Big Ten Tournament elimination game.
That's right! For the first time, according to the Centre Daily Times, this year's Central PA 4th Fest celebration will feature a full-on parade. The Borough Council unanimously voted in favor of street closures to accommodate the inaugural Parade of Heroes. The parade is set to begin at 2 p.m. on July 4 at the Borough Building at 234 S. Allen St.
