The blue ‘Proud to Support Penn State Football’ posters have been a huge hit in downtown State College. Many local businesses have plastered their storefront windows with the signs to show support for our football team during what has certainly been a difficult couple weeks. A few days ago, we uploaded a PDF file of the original sign to download and display. Now, we’re proud bring you two alternate signs to show your loyalty to our university. Penn State’s first president Evan Pugh was born in 1828 at Jordan Bank Farm, three miles south of the city center of Oxford, Pennsylvania, an hour west of Philadelphia in Chester County. One-hundred eighty-nine years later, an Oxford brewery is honoring one of the preeminent champions of “liberal and practical” higher education in the form of a delicious Porter.
