Help Penn State Win “College Colors Day”

It’s that time again. Time to prove Penn State’s dominance in ESPN’s College Colors Day competition for the beginning of college football season.

Every year, ESPN does this kickoff event to remind everyone to show some pride at the beginning of the season (and to get some people to sign up for accounts). This year, some are thinking Penn State is in need of a little bit of a confidence booster in that department

All you need to do is visit this link, Select “Penn State Nittany Lions,” and vote. It asks you to sign up for ESPN.com, but that’s only necessary if you’d like to be entered to win prizes. Otherwise, you can vote once a day until the contest ends on August 31st.

In addition to the competition and the event, there’s also a weekly Facebook contest throughout the month of August that I’m sure that plenty of Penn State fans could win. All you have to do is submit a photo of you and your friends or family decked out in Penn State gear/face paint/body paint, you get the gist. There are five categories: Retailers, Infant & Toddlers, Pets, At Work, and At Play. Do that, and you have the chance to win an American Express giftcard.

Let’s show those guys at ESPN, and the hundreds of schools entered, that we’re still #1. We’ve never lost the pride in our school, and we never will. As of right now, we’re in 2nd place. Keep the votes coming, because, let’s face it, we’ve got power in numbers.

Finally, don’t forget to wear blue and white on College Colors Day, August 31st, when you head to Beaver Stadium for Football Eve!
