Other Sports to Care About This Weekend

Tomorrow will mark the first Saturday since late August that the Penn State Football team will not run out of a stadium tunnel for a game. Still, Penn State athletics will go on, and the bye week provides a great opportunity to appreciate some other sports programs on campus. Below are some different options to fill your Penn State sports fix this weekend while waiting around for kickoff in Kinnick Stadium 8 days from now.

College of Communications Presents: “Happy Valley to Hollywood”

Did you know that the guy who founded Disney Channel went to Penn State? How about J.J. Abrams' dad? Those men are just two of the four Penn State Distinguished Alumni speakers set to headline the "Happy Valley to Hollywood" event co-hosted by the College of Communications and the College of Arts & Architecture at the Playhouse Theatre on Friday, October 26th.

Lady Lions To Host Open Practice Tomorrow

This Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Lady Lions Basketball team will hold an open practice. The public is invited to come watch the girls run through some drills, as well as participate in some contests along the way.
