Dum Dum Girls to Play Chronic Town

Tonight, SOMA and Roustabout! will be hosting one of their biggest acts, the Dum Dum Girls, live at Chronic Town with opening act, Dead Channel. The show will start at 9pm and costs $15 at the door.

The Dum Dum Girls are an indie-pop band consisting of four female rockstars: Dee Dee (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Jules (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Malia (Bass, Vocals), and Sandy (Drums, Vocals).  The band originally started out as just Dee Dee playing solo. After being signed by Sub Pop Records in 2009, she released her first album and later formed a touring band. Dum Dum Girls now have two albums and four EPs under their belts and have opened shows for the likes of Vampire Weekend and Beach House.

Check out the band’s music videos for “Bedroom Eyes” — which reminds me of a modern version of the Pretender’s “Back on the Chain Gang.”
