Being a legitimate townie (suck it Bellefonte!!) I have spent a lot of my pre and post pubescent years eating at the Corner Room. It’s a fixture of State College life—Allen street would just look strange without it. That being said I feel like I haven’t really appreciated this fine establishment in the way I feel it deserves. On my most recent visit I decided to look at the Corner Room with a new perspective, like I had never eaten there before.

Basically, Gangnam is comparable to Beverly Hills, California. This is where Psy grew up, and saw that there was a certain tone of entitlement for the upper-class that lived there. Those who are from the Gangnam district, though, don't boast about it. It's more about making fun of the posers trying to fit in where they aren't from.
