Overheard on Twitter: Players React to Bill O’Brien Staying
Penn State has seen several wild days on social media over the past 14 months, but yesterday might have been one of the craziest.
It began as a quiet morning, but that slowly changed into a worrisome afternoon and a panic filled early evening as it was revealed that Bill O’Brien had interviewed with the Cleveland Browns this week for their vacant head coaching position. He also met with the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, but that would not matter as he ultimately decided to remain at Penn State telling Dave Jones of the Harrisburg Patriot News, “I’m not a one-and-done guy. I made a commitment to these players at Penn State, and that’s what I am going to do.”
As several fans exhaled following the news, some former, current, and future players took to Twitter to provide their reactions:

The temptations were strong, but not strong enough. Thank God. #oneteam

In reference to Jones’ article that Penn State alum and Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula made a 1.3 million dollar donation to O’Brien’s salary next year:
Terry Pegula is right up there with the Nittany Lion#NittanyClaus
