THON Alumni Group Brings Graduates Together

Bummed out that you didn’t get to dance at THON during your (approximately) four years here? You might just be in luck!

The Penn State Dance MaraTHON Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) brings Penn State Alumni together again with the students involved in THON. They partner with the Penn State Alumni Association to put together fundraisers throughout the year, all in the hopes of supporting the Four Diamonds Fund in conquering pediatric cancer. This year, the DMAIG will celebrate alumni events raising over $1,000,000.

As a DMAIG member, you’ll receive newsletters detailing different fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and mini-THONs. DMAIG also has the opportunity to send two couples to represent them while dancing in THON! The two highest-earning couples are the only non-students who are able to dance.

So whether you’re graduating soon, or have been an alumnus for years, you can keep up-to-date on all things THON with DMAIG. You might just receive that long-awaited dancing invitation after all!

Alex Robinson was Onward State's Acting Managing Editor/Resident Old Man. He lived in Harrisburg almost his whole life, but he says he's from California -- where he was born -- because that's more fun. He loves cats and Chinese food, but only separately. He met both Ben Affleck and Kanye West within a half hour, so the three of them are basically best friends.
