Brewery Hosts Benefit Concert and Auction for Local Taxi Driver

The Brewery is hosting a benefit tonight for a lifelong State College resident and local taxi driver who is trying to pay off $100,000 in medical bills.

62 year old Jim Saxman has been in treatment for his throat cancer since the summer, and the price for his therapy does not come cheap. With the help of his friends and family, Jim has organized a night of entertainment from acts like Joe SmokeBig Doc & the Shockers, Kael Weis, and Penn Weis. The event will begin at 10 p.m. and there will be an auction throughout the night.

Jim Saxman says the night is not about the money, rather for Jim to be with great company and have an enjoyable night. He hopes for standing room only, so come out for a drink and some live music for the benefit of a fellow State College citizen.
