Penn State One of the Most Winter Wonderful College Campuses

As Penn Staters, we are lucky enough to be surrounded by beautiful architecture and landscapes every day. And although most of us are rocking long-johns, boots, and four winter jackets (except for those guys who walk around in shorts — it’s alright, we know you’re cold, you can stop pretending), we can all appreciate how incredible this campus looks both during and after a snowstorm.

Apparently BuzzFeed knows how gorgeous our school is as well, as they included Penn State in The Most Winter Wonderful College Campuses list. I’m sure Penn State’s presence on this list isn’t really a surprise to most of us, but nonetheless it’s an excellent gallery of some of the most beautiful snow-covered campuses across the country. Other schools on the list include: Cornell, Ursinus, Harvard, Yale, Boston College, and unfortunately, both Michigan and Michigan State.

Meet Chris Siergiej, the newest Pennsylvania State University Marching Blue Band drum major. This past Saturday, Siergiej (pronounced SIR-gee) was chosen above nine other candidates to lead the Blue Band in 2013. Siergiej, who played saxophone in his first three years, is entering his fourth season with the Blue Band.
