TEDxPSU 2013 To Be Held on Sunday

TEDxPSU was brought to Penn State three years ago to bring together individuals in our community who have ideas worth sharing. The conference aims to offer researchers and innovators at Penn State the opportunity to broadcast the impact of their unique projects, activities, and perspectives. TEDxPSU occurs at Penn State in particular because of the magnitude of both the university and its alumni system, through which the organization sees a golden opportunity to create change through discussion and action.

The curator of TEDxPSU this year is Sean Meadows. Sean is dual majoring in IST and Security Risk and Analysis, and was a huge part of what made TEDxPSU 2011 such a huge success.

The theme for TEDxPSU 2013 is “Yesterday’s Frontiers, Tomorrow’s Horizons,” and the event will be held in the Schwab Auditorium on Sunday, March 17. The eclectic speaker line-up for this year’s conference includes 16 successful innovators in all different fields, and can be found here.

TEDxPSU registration sold out in a matter of days, so even if this event is right up your alley, you won’t be able to attend the live conference in Schwab on Saturday. However, you can watch the simulcast in the HUB, via livestream, or even host a viewing party (though you should register for that here)! The conference begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m.

We’re all looking forward to another successful TEDxPSU!

Simply put: I would not be the person who I am today without the influence of this university, and I will be forever grateful for that. “Thou didst mold us, dear old State” has never felt truer.
