Nick Pantalone: “Keep Moving Forward”

Around 4:30 this morning, Nick Pantalone lost his battle to Stage IV abdominal cancer. His parents wrote on his CaringBridge page that Nick "is in pain no more. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side."

Lady Lions and Cal-Poly Dance in Opening Round

The third-seeded Lady Lions (25-5, 14-2 Big Ten) will look to extend their season today when they take on the No. 14 seed Cal Poly Mustangs (21-10, 13-5 Big West) in Baton Rogue at 5:15 p.m. For Coquese Washington's squad, the Pete Maravich Assembly Center is a familiar site for the first two rounds of NCAA tournament play.

After a week-long primary, the alumni watchdog group Penn Staters for Responsible Stewardship (PS4RS) has announced the endorsements of three trustee candidates: Edward “Ted” Brown, III, Barbara L. Doran and William F. Oldsey.

Cael Sanderson Named NWCA Coach of the Year

Wrestling head coach Cael Sanderson won his second career Coach of the Year award from the NWCA. Sanderson led the Nittany Lions to a 17-1 dual record, the Big Ten championships, and a third consecutive national championship.

For the past four years, Penn State entered a season with the luxury of having a stud defensive tackle. There was future first-round pick Jared Odrick in 2009, Devon Still in 2010 and 2011, and Jordan Hill last year.
