Before I visited Penn State, I had never heard of the Nittany Lions, Joe Paterno, Happy Valley, or State College. I was the quintessential out-of-stater. One tour around campus, and I realized that this was a place that I wanted to be. I soon found that, like State College’s highly unpredictable climate, Penn State, even with all its traditions, is a place of constant change.
Penn State's annual spring music festival, Movin' On (@psumovinon), is coming up this Friday. Even though Movin' On is a one-day event, a team of students work tirelessly year-round to put this show together. And planning for a music festival like this is not as easy as it sounds.
At "Fun For Finals!" you'll get to enjoy stress-free activities like arts and crafts, bubble-blowing, hula-hooping, and--wait for it-- PETTING AND PLAYING WITH SOME ADORABLE FREAKING PUPPIES!
Apparently, Penn State freshmen are happy. A recent Department of Education report ranks Penn State's freshmen 22nd out of all U.S. state schools in terms of retention - and ultimately, happiness.
