Philly Forward Watkins Commits, Is First 2015 Recruit

Pat Chambers has received his first commitment for the 2015 recruiting class in forward Mike Watkins from Philadelphia. Watkins played high school ball at Bartram High School and is also a member of the Team Philly 16U team this spring.

Home Opener vs. EMU Set for Noon Kickoff has announced that Penn State Football's 2013 home opener against the Eastern Michigan Eagles will start at noon on Saturday, September 7.

Penn State lost its graduate school dean and vice president for research yesterday.

The University of Missouri announced that Hank Foley, who has worked at Penn State since 2000, would be appointed as vice president for academic affairs.

Senator Pat Toomey wrote a letter yesterday supporting a proposal by Penn State's Lunar Lion team to host the 2014 Team Summit for the Google Lunar X Prize. He becomes the second prominent politician this week to throw their voice behind the program.

Sandusky Saga Costs Penn State $45.9 Million

It's that time of the month again -- the monthly update of the Penn State Progress website to reflect the latest costs of the Sandusky scandal to Penn State. As of March 31 -- the most recent update -- the university has handed over $45,881,904 for scandal-related expenses.
