Joe Paterno, Coming to a Backyard Near You

From taking a leak in public to flipping the bird all across the globe, Google maps always captures some interesting moments if you look hard enough. While not in those same vulgar categories, this Google map view from the small town of Sauk Centre, Minnesota provides a view Penn Staters ought to love.

Everyone has different ways of honoring the good legacy of Joe Paterno, but this might be the most unique display I’ve seen yet. Someone in the 4,317-resident town felt compelled to carve out the word ‘JOEPA’ in the field behind his or her house, which has been picked up clear as day by the Google satellites.

Well done, whoever you are. I wish I had that kind of free time.

Thanks for reader Ryan for the tip.
