Gameday Coverage: Penn State vs. Ohio State

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is enjoying the early portion of the day leading up to tonight’s highly anticipated showdown at Ohio Stadium, where the Penn State Nittany Lions (4-2, 1-1) will face off against the undefeated, #4 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-0, 3-0) in a nationally televised, primetime game. Penn State is coming off an upset 43-40 win against the Michigan Wolverines on October 12, while Ohio State defeated Iowa last week at home, 34-24. The Buckeyes are coached by Urban Meyer, who is undefeated (19-0) in two years as the leader of the Scarlet and Gray.

Below is all of the media information and coverage for today.

Kickoff: 8:00 p.m.

Television: ABC – Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge (Penn State ’82), and Holly Rowe.

Radio: Penn State Sports Network – Steve Jones (play-by-play), Jack Ham (analyst), Loren Crispell (sideline reporter). The game will be broadcast locally on 93.7 FM & 1450 AM, and nationally on Sirius (Ch. 85) and XM (Ch. 85). You can also listen in on GoPSUSports.com.

Weather: Kickoff – 48 degrees, mostly cloudy, 63% humidity, 0% chance of rain.

Last time they met: In front of a late October primetime crowd at Beaver Stadium, Ohio State handed Penn State its first conference loss of the year, defeating the Nittany Lions 35-23. Penn State started fast with a blocked punt from Mike Hull but a pick six from Matt McGloin followed by a Braxton Miller touchdown run ended the Nittany Lions’ comeback hopes.

Injury Report: There are no new noteworthy injuries to report this week. Matt Lehman, Brad Bars, Brent Wilkerson, and DaeSean Hamilton are all out.

Media Coverage: @OnwardState will have live tweets, Facebook updates, and a live blog throughout the game. Sports editor Zach Berger (@theZachBerger) will be in the press box, and photographer Mitchell Wilston (@mitchellwilston) will be on the field. StateCollege.com reporters Ben Jones (@Ben_Jones88) and Mike Poorman (@PSUPoorman) will also have coverage from the press box.
