We Came As Romans Will Come to Alumni Hall

Penn State’s Student Programming Association will host a night of Metalcore when We Came as Romans comes to Alumni Hall on Friday, February 7 at 10 p.m.

The Michigan-based 6-piece band hit the Detroit music scene while they were still high school seniors in 2005, where they played local venues under the name This Emergency. After changing its name and adjusting the lineup, We Came as Romans released two EPs Demonstrations and Dreams in 2008, as well as its first full-length album To Plant a Seed the following year.

Since its 2009 debut, the band has toured with the likes of Megadeath, A Day to Remember, Silverstein, Of Mice & Men, and Vans Warped tour. It has also released two more albums : Understanding What We’ve Grown (2011) and Tracing Back Roots (2013). The band has even appeared on the Punk Goes Pop albums, covering Justin Timberlake and The Wanted.

This summer, the band will play festivals in Switzerland, France, Belgium, and Germany with headlining acts like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, and Rob Zombie. All students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
