Spongebob Balloon-ed Dancers Become Pals During THON

So, this was neat:

Many at THON probably think Blue-White Society dancer Chad Eichelberger and Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group dancer Jackie Freiberg had coordinated. After all, they’re the only dancers with towering Spongebob Squarepants balloons attached to themselves.

As it turns out, this is just an occurrence of hilarious randomness. Eichelberger’s moraler bought him the balloon so friends and committee members could easily find him on the floor. So did Freiberg’s.

They met up after I talked to them separately and Frieberg joked with Eichelberger about this misleading tweet:

We know it’s not a “guy” with a balloon, because Freiberg’s Spongebob has pants and Eichelberger’s does not. Freiberg is the “pantsless” one, he says.

This whole thing is pretty darn THON, if you ask me.
