New Dancer Support Program Helps Dancers See Loved Ones Despite PASS Failures

A lot of aspects of THON 2013 could be considered a logistical nightmare, and although, THON 2014 hasn't been entirely glitch free, the Executive Committee has come up with multiple ways to maintain order while assuring that the dancers health and safety are a top priority. Just this year, the Rules and Regulations committee launched the Dancer Support Program.

Scenes of Anticipation from Pegula Ice Arena

The completion of the new hockey arena in time for this season was not just a victory for hockey, but for THON as well. Last year, several people were treated for hypothermia while waiting in line outside the Bryce Jordan Center. This year, the combination of the new digital line procedure and the opening of Pegula as a waiting area for those attempting to enter (plus the relatively good weather) has eased those concerns.
