Help Us Find The Funniest Penn State Parent Texts

From non-sequiturs to total gibberish, there’s nothing quite like a parent text. Although many of our parents have smart phones by now, it’s inevitable that at some point, texting etiquette will be lost on the not-digitally native.

For example, my mom — as tech-savvy as she is — punctuates most of her iMessages with ellipses, which makes me feel like I’m constantly in trouble. (“Hey” evokes quite a different reaction than “Hey…”) Then there was this time, when I was on a field trip and tried to express to her that we had been hearing from a lot of speakers and weren’t getting to move around that much:

With your help, we’d like to find some of the funniest texts from Penn State parents. Screenshot any funny text you’ve received from one of your parents and send it to [email protected]. It would probably be best for everyone involved if you get approval from your parent before submitting your photo, but we can also crop or blur out the name if you’d prefer.
