Michigan-Penn State Ranked 14th-Best Game of 2013

Penn State’s four-overtime, thrilling win against Michigan was selected as the 14th-best college football game of the 2013 season by ESPN behind some relatively curious selections.

We are all, admittedly, quite biased toward the greatness of the Michigan game, but this ranking is silly objectively. The Navy-Notre Dame game at No. 13 is a pretty underwhelming choice. The Rutgers-SMU shootout that ranked No. 12 was cool, but about 19,000 people made up the announced attendance. The Big Ten Championship was also an awesome game, but No. 9? I don’t know if those games compare to four overtimes in front of a Whiteout that saw more absurd twists and turns than the plot of Game of Thrones.

Anyway, ESPNU will air a replay of the Penn State-Michigan game on July 28 at 10 p.m., for those that would prefer to watch it on television than Youtube. Fans can also vote for which order they think ESPN’s top five games of the season should be aired here.
