
Café Laura, the student-run restaurant at Penn State, is getting a facelift that comes with a $1.2 million price tag.

An Irish sports official said that the NCAA "rightly" punished Penn State in the wake of the Sandusky Scandal. Mark Wogenrich of the Morning Call also reported that Peter McKenna, director of Croke Park, the site of Penn State's game in Ireland later this month, also told the Irish Times that the scandal brought hesitation about bringing Penn State, and that it was "something that we thought long and hard about". The story, however, mainly says that Croke Park praises the University and its ability to change since the scandal.

Penn State announced its lineup for the 2014-15 Forum Speaker Series, and some names on it should draw significant interest. Among them: NFL Hall of Fame linebacker and concussion awareness advocate Harry Carson on being a "Captain for Life," former New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik on the need for criminal justice reform, and PBS President Paula Kerger on the future of educational media.
