Penn State Denies Removing Bibles From Hotels After Complaint

Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF)—a Wisconsin-based atheist group—sent a letter of complaint to President Barron on June 6, 2014, which is said to have resulted in the removal of Gideon Bibles from two hotels owned by Penn State: the Nittany Lion Inn and the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.

Men’s Soccer To Honor Mack Brady on Sunday

The men's soccer team will honor Mack Brady this Sunday at one p.m. at Jeffrey Field when it takes on Ohio State. Brady died unexpectedly in 2012, the result of a blood infection. A fund to support the soccer team has been created in his memory.

McLanahan’s Selling Shirts To Benefit Devon Still’s Family

When the Bengals pledged all proceeds from his jersey to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Devon Still set a franchise record for jersey sales in a day. A week later, a local retail outlet in State College is chipping in to the cause as well, selling a "S71LL STRONG" that plays off of a similar design created in Cincinnati. McLanahan's agreed to give all proceeds from the shirt to Still, who tweeted that he will donate the money to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
