Lace Up Those Kicks for the THON 5K

Slip on your running tights and lace up your sneakers! The THON 5K will take place this Sunday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. outside of the Bryce Jordan Center.

The annual fun run begins with a Kids Race. This year, the theme for the Kids Race will be superheroes. So if you want to see a bunch of Supermen, Spidermen, and Incredible Hulks take off at the starting line, get to the BJC early for a good spot on the sidelines.

The competitive and fun race, otherwise known as the grown-up race, will begin at 11 a.m. It costs $15 to register for the Fun Run and $18 to register for the Competitive Run. You can credit your org for your entry fee on THON’s website.

Stick around after the race for a day of fun, filled with performances by student organizations, DJs, and, of course, lots of delicious food. Maybe do the Line Dance before the race to stretch yourself out and get yourself excited for the first big THON event of the year.

For more information, check out the event’s Facebook page. Good luck runners, and remember: even if you’re the slowest runner in the pack, you’re still racing FTK!
