Passafire to Perform at State Theatre

If you’re looking for some quality local music this weekend, be sure to check out Passafire. The progressive rock band will take the stage at the State Theatre’s Friedman Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The Georgia-based band is known for its reggae-inspired roots that blend with rock to create a truly original sound. The band has released five albums since its formation in 2003. The tour supports the band’s most recent release, Vines, which came out in 2013.

Passafire has previously toured with popular bands such as Slightly Stoopid and the Wailers. Special guests The Hip Abduction and The Perkalators will open the show.

Tickets are $16 and can be purchased on the State Theatre’s website or at its box office.

Here’s one of Passafire’s most popular songs, “Feel It”.
