Country Singer Jana Kramer to Perform in Alumni Hall

The Student Programming Association announced today that country music singer Jana Kramer will perform at 10 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 12 in Alumni Hall during LateNight.

Though Kramer was not one of the artists listed on the SPA LateNight survey released earlier in the semester, she has quite the following. Kramer burst onto the country music scene in 2012 with her debut single, “Why Ya Wanna.” The single and her debut self-titled album made her the highest-debuting female country singer since 2006. She also won an Academy of Country Music award for new female vocalist of the year in 2013. In addition, she has an acting career, having roles in “Prom Night,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “One Tree Hill,” and “CSI.”

This isn’t Kramer’s first Penn State performance. She performed at Penn State Altoona with Movin’ On veteran Gloriana on Oct. 11 for the commonwealth campus’s Homecoming concert.

Here’s another fun fact about Kramer — she’s also the beautiful spy that replaces your stolen goods with new replacements in the Nationwide commercials.

Celebrating a birthday last week, Kramer recently got engaged to NFL free agent tight end Michael Caussin. Kramer was also romantically tied to Brantley Gilbert, another country singer, but broke off the engagement last year.

The concert is free to attend for students with valid Penn State student IDs.
