The Best of @PSUEeeats, State College’s Food Porn Instagram

It’s okay to admit you’ve looked at it, everyone does – food porn won’t make your eyes fall out.

For those of you not familiar with the hashtag #foodporn, it’s used on social media — mainly Instagram — to show off delicious meals and make all followers inherently jealous.

We recently discovered the holy grail of State College food porn: @psueeeats. This Instagram account has an impressive and growing following with over 2,000 followers and for good reason. The account takes submissions to post onto its feed, and it’s absolutely fantastic.

The eight best posts from @psueeeats’ feed are below, but be warned – you may want to eat everything in sight after you’re done reading this.

Wings Over Happy Valley

You can’t go wrong with Wings Over. With the seemingly endless list of flavors and sweet specials, it’s hard to resist not ordering from them all the time. My favorite flavors are the Sweet Onion Bar-b-que and the Honey Mustard. Speaking of flavors, if you haven’t kept up with our Great Wings Over Bracket, Honey Bar-b-que and Sweet Chili are the finalists. Make sure you vote for your favorite in the linked post.

Chipotle

I have become what I swore I would never be – one of the basics that eats at Chipotle five times a week. Yes, I will get my chicken burrito bowl with extra sour cream and guacamole, thank you. And no, I don’t care that I spent $50 this week on Chipotle alone. It’s an addiction I can’t kick.

Bagel Crust

@psueeeats loves its Bagel Crust submissions, as a good percentage of the feed is filled with them. Though we weren’t blown away by the bagel specialist when it first opened last year, the restaurant has upped its bagel game since then. I mean just look at this picture, this everything bagel is, well… EVERYTHING.

Jersey Mike’s

I love me a good turkey hoagie (yes, I say hoagie, don’t judge), and Jersey Mike’s is one of the few places downtown that offers awesome hoagies. Also, if you aren’t hungry yet by this point in the post, there’s something wrong with you.

Downtown Farmer’s Market

The downtown farmer’s market always has delicious options to choose from, including fall favorite caramel apples. From fresh vegetables and fruits to homemade desserts, these vendors provide yummy items for its hungry clientele. Though the winter weather has set in, the farmer’s market still sets up shop in the State College Municipal Building on South Allen Street every Friday.

Waffle Shop

Waffle Shop is a breakfast staple in State College, and if you haven’t tried one of its delicious omelets, I suggest you stop what you’re doing and go eat one right now. I was so in love with the sausage omelet to the point I stopped in every day one summer before class to get my day started.

Are U Hungry

When you want something to cure your late night munchies, Are U Hungry will satisfy the craving and will probably leave you with leftovers the next day. If you don’t order a Fat Bitch before you graduate, you haven’t accomplished the full experience of the late night downtown food options.

Bell’s Greek Pizza

I saved the most enticing picture for last. This hidden gem on Calder Way is another place you should have on your late night eateries bucket list. The mac and cheese pizza, pictured above, is to die for. Just look at the way the macaroni sits ever-so-perfectly on that pizza pie.

You can stop licking your screen now, guys. I’m done teasing you. You can send submissions to @psueeeats by using the hashtag #psueeeats or emailing [email protected].
