The Price Is Right Live! to Take Over BJC April 16

The Price is Right Live! will “come on down” to the Bryce Jordan Center on April 16.

Anyone who registers has the chance to become a contestant on the show and play some of its most famous games including The Big Wheel, Plinko, and the Showcase Showdown, and hopefully win some prizes.

To register to be a contestant, you must fill out a card with your name and birthday prior to the start of the show and drop it in a bin near the registration tables. The cards will be given out starting three hours before showtime, and you must be 18 years or older to be eligible to play. Anyone who wants to have a chance to be chosen should arrive early to sign up.

Even if you don’t purchase a ticket to the show, you can still put your name in the drawing for a chance to play. Contestants are chosen randomly prior to the start of the show, and you must be present at the time your name is called to play.

Lucky winners could go home with prizes like appliances, cash, a vacation, or a new car.

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. Students can buy tickets for $10 and $20, and all other tickets start at $20 a seat. Tickets will be sold online, at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre, Penn State Altoona Campus Ticket Office, or Walmart Ticketmaster kiosks.

Thanks, Mom And Dad: Mindy Szkaradnik’s Senior Column

The band finished its set at the Phyrst last semester and “Build Me Up Buttercup” came on over the speakers. Most people continued with their conversations as usual, but I turned and glanced at at the dance floor. There were my parents, dancing in each other’s arms to the song that they used to dance to years ago at the Gaff.
