Child Endangerment Incident At Beaver Stadium Reported To Penn State Police

Penn State Police are investigating a reported case of child endangerment that occurred in 2005 at Beaver Stadium, according to the university crime log.

Police Chief Tyrone Parham said a man filed a report on Monday claiming that on Aug. 10 or Aug. 11, 2005, he was outside Beaver Stadium and overheard a boy asking for help from a bathroom. The witness told police he saw two adult men exit the bathroom with a young boy. The men told the witness that everything was fine.

Police could not comment on the boy’s age or any information regarding anyone involved, citing the open investigation. Police did not offer any information as to why the witness waited nearly a decade before reporting the incident.

We will update with more information when available.

The band finished its set at the Phyrst last semester and “Build Me Up Buttercup” came on over the speakers. Most people continued with their conversations as usual, but I turned and glanced at at the dance floor. There were my parents, dancing in each other’s arms to the song that they used to dance to years ago at the Gaff.
