Moe’s Southwest Grill To Open In State College

Move over, Chipotle — a new burrito place is coming to town. Moe’s Southwest Grill will open in May, according to the Centre Daily Times.

Moe’s is an Atlanta-based franchise with over 550 locations across the country and two international locations in Turkey and Russia. The themed restaurant features menu items that reference famous films, TV shows, and various aspects of pop culture. For example, take the “Close Talker” salad, which is named after the well-known character from “Seinfeld.” There’s also the stack (a magical version of a Taco Bell Crunchwrap with loads of queso) named “Wrong Doug” — a phrase which you may remember from “The Hangover.”

The menu at Moe’s boasts a wide variety of tacos, burritos, salads, and quesadillas. Customers can also choose from over 20 different ingredients to top their meals, and, unlike most of the Mexican food establishments in State College, Moe’s even offers free chips and salsa with every meal.

Unfortunately, the State College Moe’s will not be downtown. The restaurant will be located in the Trader Joe’s plaza shopping center, off North Atherton.
