I Spy: THON 2015 Edition

Each year, THON continues to become a more colorful, energetic crowd than the last — and there is no shortage of interesting characters or fun decorations. THON 2015 is no different, and it seems like the signs have gotten bigger, the costumes more colorful, and the chants more boisterous. If you’re looking for a way to pass the time, whether you’re on the floor or spectating from the stands, here’s a game to keep you occupied — I Spy: THON Edition.

1. American Memorabilia

Of course, the American flags — it’s the sheer amount of red, white, and blue that can be fun to look for. From org signs, to American flag capes, to shirts and shorts emblazoned in stars and stripes, see how much Americana you can find circulating throughout the arena.

2. Inflatable Dinosaur

He’s there, on the floor, bringing the Jurassic period back to the BJC.

3. Star Wars Characters Galore

A handful of characters have been appearing on the floor, including a bunch of Stormtroopers and the happy couple Princess Leia and Han Solo. I dare you to find the rest: Jawas, Tuskin Raiders from the planet Tatooine, Imperial officers, and clone troopers.

4. Banana Suit Man

With all the Dancer Relations Committee Members on the floor, it’s quite a sea of yellow. Somewhere, hidden amid the yellow t-shirts, is a banana suit man.

5. Where’s Waldo?

It’s up to you to find out.

6. Safety Vests & Hard Hats

They’re not construction workers, but people are bound to be roaming around the BJC, suited up in their best neon safety gear.

7. Rainbow Tutus

These can be particularly tricky to find, blending in easily with the rest of the colorful crowd. But a fair few supporters in the stands and dancers on the floor are decked out in some wild rainbow tutus.

8. Enthusiastic Parents

These can be pretty easy to spot, because whether on the floor or in the stands, these parents are louder and more energetic than the rest — and with some wild arm-waving to boot.

9. The Man With A Pizza On His Head

I know, I sound ridiculous, but I swear I saw him — unless the sleep deprivation is starting to kick in.

10. Light-Up Signs

Since Boulevard started the trend a few years back, more organizations and Greek societies have since jumped on the bandwagon and are starting to light up their letters. See how many you can spot throughout the BJC — there are even some light-up hats, too!

Bonus Challenge: Find Katy Perry’s left shark. I have no idea if anyone dressed as the shark, but if it’s in this BJC, I want you to find it, stat.
