Weather Report for the Last Day of THON

For those looking to get to THON for the last few hours or to leave THON early this morning, long story short, it’ll be cold outside.

Per Accuweather, the highs and lows of Sunday are 36° and 5°, meaning in the best-case scenario, it will barely not be freezing. There is about a 40 percent chance of snow until 7 a.m., then about 20 percent for the rest of the day.

The good news is that the wind is projected to be at a minimum during the night and day, and the RealFeel will be very close to the actual temperature.

Around 11 and 12 p.m., the temperature and RealFeel should be about 31°, so those planning on getting in for the final four hours of THON will deal with temperatures that are actually a little more comfortable than they have been this weekend (though you might be out of luck in a different way if you wait that late to attend the last four hours). At 4 p.m., when THON ends and dancers can start filing out, the RealFeel should be about 26°.

Keep in mind that the new Floor Pass system, designed to keep attendees out of the cold, has had its flaws, so plan accordingly. Just like it has been all weekend, make sure to bundle up if you’re going to or from the Bryce Jordan Center.
